It was a perfect opportunity for me to learn more about printmaking and #FindArtThatFits my personal and domestic aesthetic. I explored galleries displaying some of the most beautiful pieces I’ve ever had the pleasure to witness, a real inspirational and thought-provoking experience. I took part in several workshops and printmaking classes, some of which expanded on my knowledge of the field, other workshops I explored techniques that were completely different and new to me, such as collagraphy. These technical workshops enhanced my creative thinking and of course formed a part of my Research through practice and allowed me too network with likeminded crafts people and artists. i also attended talks and art panels exploring modern day issues within today's society. Overall, a very thrilling and rewarding experience. I not only gained new skills but friends and links within the industry that'll inform my current practice. Artists I discovered were Serena Smith and Anna Mateus whose work has inspired me to take my ideas so much further than just pen to paper. The research I have gathered on Smith and Mateus can be found within my research folder, along with many other influential artists and designers.
