Group Crits- Body of Work & Placement Reflection
Over the past couple of months, I had an amazing opportunity to volunteer with Forestry England. Amazingly, my partnership with Forestry England will lead to over 1 million trees being planted across England by 2025.
The first planting site was within the proximity of Thetford Forest, and my volunteer opportunity was to create the best possible conditions for the trees in their first year of being planted. I had an amazing time, learning more about the forest and more specifically in relation to the work being carried out there. I am grateful to have learnt from a team of passionate and knowledgeable individuals who care deeply about what they do and what Forestry England stands for- caring for the nation’s forests for people, for nature and for a sustainable future.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the whole forestry England team and the Forestry commission for making my placement possible, in particular Joseph Smile and Meera Hindaochi for the continued partnership.
