Statement of Intent
STATEMENT OF INTENT
Trees are the breath of the world, they encapsulate carbon, breathe out oxygen. They bare wood, fruit, nuts, soil, and shade. In their long lineage they embed time, a patient record of the world we as a species step in and out of barley noticed. I believe it is in their wood where one will find the record of the world awaiting. I intend to showcase a series of artistic works about forests, trees, their wood, and the environmental challenges and threats they face in today's world. Deforestation being the central theme within my works. Also Exploring themes of nature and landscape in the process as areas of interest and the deconstruction of images as an unexplored area of interest and experimentation.
