Connecting with the Oak tree has allowed me to experiment with a range of different medias within my sketchbook including acrylic paint, water colour and biro. Each session, I have sat and studied the trees following the instructions with Blamers ‘Celtic tree mysteries’ book and I have felt a spiritual connection with this tree in particular. This connection has allowed me to experiment in ways I have never thought to do so before, I have experimented with coloured backgrounds and textured surfaces which I hope to convey within my lithography at a later date. I have also collected several pieces of bark to work with in the printing room. Here is a photograph of my studies within my sketchbook and the beginning of my lithography stone.
